Warzone Stuck on Joining Game Session: Here are the Fixes

Call of Duty Warzone is one of the most popular vast combat arenas from the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It gives you online multi-player battle combat between 150 players, even though few sufficient time game modes support 200 players. But recently, multiple users are complaining that they are unable to proceed with the “Joining Game Session” on Warzone. If you are also triggered with same problem, then here are some directions mentioned below.



Reboot the Network

To reboot the network, pursue these on-screen steps mentioned below:

  1. Firstly, you have to detach the power cables of the router and modem.

  2. After that, wait for a moment and connect the cables again. Check the indicators are blinking as usual.

  3. Now, launch the web browser and look at the connection.

  4. Once you have done, run the Warzone and check the issue.

Scan and Fix the Game Files

To scan and fix the game files, pursue these on-screen steps mentioned below:

  1. Run the Battle.net client on your device.

  2. Then reach the left side menu and choose the ‘Call of Duty: MW’ game.

  3. You should click on the ‘Options’ button and choose the ‘Scan and Repair’ option.

  4. Later, hit the ‘Begin Scan’ button and permit the checking to finish.

  5. Once finished, run the Warzone and check whether fix the issue.

Disable the Firewall Temporarily

To disable the firewall temporarily, pursue these on-screen steps mentioned below:

  1. To open the Run accessory, hit the Win and R buttons simultaneously over the keyboard.

  2. Then insert ‘control firewall.cpl’ in it and hit the OK button.

  3. Reach the left side menu and click on the ‘Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off’ option.

  4. You should select the ‘Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended)’ option for Public network, Private network, and Domain network.

  5. Now, hit the OK button.

  6. Once you disabled the firewall, you can run the Warzone game and check the issue.



Change the Name of Config File

To change the name of a config file, pursue these on-screen steps mentioned below:

  1. To open the Run accessory, hit the Win and R buttons simultaneously over the keyboard.

  2. Afterward, input ‘%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players’ in it and press the OK button.

  3. Instead of removing, change the name ‘config.cfg’ to ‘config.cfg.backup’ if things go south.

  4. Once you have done, reboot the game, and it can reinstall shaders.

  5. Now, check whether the issue is continuing.

Check the Network Driver is Updated

This error is also occurring due to the wrong or out of date network driver. So, you can attempt to update the network driver prior to digging in the anything more problematical. In case you are well-known with your system hardware, you can attempt to update the network driver manually.

If you want to update your driver manually, then go to the manufacturer’s motherboard support site and browse for the model. Make sure to download the newest right driver installer that supportable with the OS.
